Permanent Eyeliner Makeup
Eyeliner permanent makeup is wonderful! The eyeliner pigment is placed in between your lashes. You have the option of going a little wider. I do not advise connecting the outer corners as the tissue is so thin, that in the future the pigment could migrate. You have the option of doing just the upper eyeliner or upper and lower. Wings are optional however be careful because downstream as the eye ages the wings can change in their shape. Also the tissue on the lid and brow bone is thin and begins to relax as we age. One eye is round and the other eye is almond. One eye is larger and the other smaller. One eye is more open than the other. Look closely at yourself and others or people up close on your TV and you will see what I mean. If you wear mascara, this procedure will really bump up the effect of thicker lashes. Make sure your technician draws in the design first so you make sure you are both on the same page.
The skin on the eyes is very receptive to topical anesthetics that can keep you very comfortable throughout the procedure. It is important to go home and apply a cool compress throughout the rest of the day and evening until you retire. The next day you will experience some swelling, as if you had a good cry or possibly less. It takes about a week to ten days for the area to exfoliate and the color will drop in intensity up to 50%. We wait 6 weeks and then there is a touch up appointment. If you wear contacts be sure to inform your technician and bring your regular glasses to wear afterwards and possibly for a couple of days after your treatment. Always wear sunglasses thereafter, as the sun wants to fade the color in the particle of pigment. Don't do any permanent makeup procedure before a special event or sun vacation. Give yourself time to heal.
